Sitting new construction Plats...

By
Real Estate Agent with Preview Properties

Well, folks, I have taken on a new and very fun weekend pastime. I am sitting here in my shower cap at a new construction site! Many of you out there hate sitting new construction sites... Here are some great ways to keep busy:

  • Double your normal number of baloons. Add some unusual colors to catch the eye of buyers
  • Call your contact list and use the "referral dialog"
  • Do a CMA for your clients. No clients? Do one for your Mom, your cat or Uncle Ed
  • Clean up the place. It gets you moving and the creativity flowing
  • Clean up the outside. Pick up the crew's trash! clean up the driveways and sidewalks
  • Send out your monthly "Item of Value" mailing...
  • Have your mortgage rep stop by and talk about the USDA loan program
  • BLOG!!!!
  • Call expireds
  • Call agents who have visited your listings
  • BLOG some more
  • Organize the garage/ balloon room/ surplus junk room. Make it look nice
  • Learn something new about the development you are at
  • Mail thank you cards to EVERYONE who comes by. Walk to the mailbox
  • Scour the Sunday Herald for articles to mail to your database.
  • READ...READ...READ...anything by Jeffrey Gitomer, or Millionaire Real Estate Agent!
  • Use the "mayor campaign" on everyone you meet today!
  • Create some new marketing materials on you that focus on serving others
  • STAY AWAKE

One thing that has helped me out tremendously, is watching what I eat. No fast food, or other heavy, greasy gut bombs that zap my energy. Whole wheat sandwiches and granola bars and water instead of coffee!!!

Keep up the good work. All we have to do is keep providing value to our clients and when this housing "crisis" is over, we will be our clients trusted real estate advisors for life!!!!!!

Very interesting!  I just never have enough time to do most of those things - but maybe someday and someday the market will pick up!
