Tropical Storm Hanna

Tropical storm Hanna hit our area last Friday. The storm actually made land fall around 3:30 am on Saturday, but starting in the early afternoon, we began to feel the affects of it. The rain came down in torrents and the winds were gusting around thirty miles an hour. It was definitely a good day to stay inside and watch the storm. The winds and rain really picked up as night approached. We were very disappointed as we wanted to be able to watch the storm. We have a lot of pine trees on our lot and all night,. we could hear the pine cones hitting the roof., not too much sleep. Saturday morning, we rode over to the beach and took these pictures of the ocean. These are the storms we like, a few limbs down, a little flooding in low lying areas, a few shingles here and there and that's about it. We are very thankful, especially after seeing the effects of hurricanes on other areas.
