Sheridan Oregon: Sheridan City Park

By

Sheridan isn't a big city, but it does have its own park in Sheridan City Park located right in the center of town. I would say, as small as this town is, that you could walk to this park from almost anywhere in the central part of the city.

Here are some pictures from the park.

Below are the baseball fields and basketball court.

Here is a picture of the skate park. It's a relatively new addition from what I understood from the people that I was talking to at the park.

There are two sets of playground equipment and right in between the two are the public bathrooms. That's great place to put them if you ask me!

Being this is just less than a mile off highway 18 on the way to the coast, it is a great place to stop with the kids to let them get the wiggles out and maybe help save your sanity.

BELOW YOU WILL FIND ALL THE HOMES FOR SALE IN
SHERIDAN, OREGON

Nice looking park; and it must be really nice there right about now.

Todd- Very nice localism post. Can you believe little Brookings even has a skatepark? The kids really love it!

Todd, great pictures. Skate parks are so popular now with the skate boarders. ;-)

Tom - We are still having summer like weather here, but I'm guessing we are going to be losing it real soon.

Lori - No, I really can't believe that Brookings has its own skate park. How may kids do you have there, I really don't think of it as being that big of a place.

Teri - I had to use the big hill in the neighborhood when I was a kid and then figure out how to get off before the curb at the end. Boy, times have changed!

From someone who was born and raised in Sheridan I would like to say thanks, Todd, for stopping by to check Sheridan out.  It is such a typical small town: one stop light, one gas station, a hardware store, a pizza parlor and some surprisingly good restaurants.   One of our best events is on the third weekend in June when we pull out all the stops for Sheridan Days.
