North Carolina Maritime Museum on Roanoke Island
The NC Maritime Museum on Roanoke Island will offer a variety of maritime skills, boatbuilding, sailing programs and workshops throughout the year in the Creef Boathouse. Claudia Harrington and William Brown Book Signing
11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Museum Store at Roanoke Island Festival Park. Claudia Harrington will be signing The Marsh Runners( Vol. 1). Children will find action and adventure on the edge of the Graveyard of the Atlantic. The story is based on historical facts and legends. Uncharted Waters (The Marsh Runner, Vol. II) tells the story of children facing danger and adventure along the marshes, beaches, islands and waters of North Carolina's Outer Banks. Along the way, they encounter ocean storms, mysterious sea creatures and curses. William Brown will sign his book, Mullet Roar, which tells the story of a youth's journey from boyhood to manhood on the Outer Banks from the 1950's to the present. April 26 - 28
