Backstage Tours
This off-season tour highlights the 70th anniversary of The Lost Colony production with a special tour of archives, costume collection, photographical history and other memorabilia celebrating our 70 years. History, Arts and Fun - All Rolled Into One!
Enjoy daily programs aboard the Elizabeth II, a sixteenth century representative sailing ship. Visit the Settlement Site and experience blacksmithing, woodworking and games. Explore 400 years of Outer Banks history in the interactive Roanoke Adventure Museum. Settle in for a docu-drama, in The Film Theatre, entitled "The Legend of Two- Path". See impressive works of art in the Art Gallery. Discover unique gifts in the Museum Store. Find ancient treasures in our Fossil Pit. Take a leisurely stroll on our waterside boardwalk and view our award winning shoreline restoration project, the maritime forest and marsh conservation area. Here life takes on a whole new perspective as you observe the hidden pristine beauty and quiet surroundings. There are several benches on the way for rest and reflection and also picnic tables. North Carolina Maritime Museum on Roanoke Island
The NC Maritime Museum on Roanoke Island will offer a variety of maritime skills, boatbuilding, sailing programs and workshops throughout the year in the Creef Boathouse. Visit the Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse and learn the history of the screw-pile lights. Times and dates vary seasonally. Oyster Fool Eating Contest

Dare County High Schools Art Show
Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Art Gallery at Roanoke Island Festival Park. Enjoy the art of students from Manteo, First Flight, Manteo Alternative and Cape Hatteras High Schools. Works are in a variety of media, such as photography, paintings, sculpture, pottery, and more. First Friday on Roanoke Island
5pm - 9pm. Every first Friday of the month, downtown historic Manteo comes alive with music, street performances, extended business hours, gallery art events and much more. Classical Concert of French Music
8:00 p.m. Film Theatre at Roanoke Island Festival Park. The Ravel Trio will captivate audiences with its conversational concert style and music passion. The Concert Chorale - Spring Concert
The Concert Chorale of the Outer Banks will hold their spring concert on Sunday, April 15th at 4:00 p.m. in St. Andrew's by the Sea in Nags Head. Tickets are on sale at Barefoot Quilters in Kitty Hawk, Morales Art Gallery in Nags Head and Manteo Booksellers in Manteo. The price for tickets purchased in advance are $12.00 for adults and $10.00 for seniors and children. At the door the prices are $15.00 for adults and $12.00 for seniors and children. 3rd Annual Corolla Island Spring Social "Oh, What A Night"
Come and be a part of this delightful evening from 6:00 p.m. until Midnight. Go back in time to the 1920's and be a part of this "speakeasy theme" fund raising event for the Whalehead Club. There will be energetic entertainment by "Savannah", a top notch band from Virginia Beach, VA, and amazing food and drink provided by Montero's Restaurant" of Elizabeth City, NC. A silent and live auction will be featured , fun period costumes, and action packed surprises throughout the evening. Tickets are $100 per person and sponsor tables are available. Claudia Harrington and William Brown Book Signing
11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Museum Store at Roanoke Island Festival Park. Claudia Harrington will be signing The Marsh Runners( Vol. 1). Children will find action and adventure on the edge of the Graveyard of the Atlantic. The story is based on historical facts and legends. Uncharted Waters (The Marsh Runner, Vol. II) tells the story of children facing danger and adventure along the marshes, beaches, islands and waters of North Carolina's Outer Banks. Along the way, they encounter ocean storms, mysterious sea creatures and curses. William Brown will sign his book, Mullet Roar, which tells the story of a youth's journey from boyhood to manhood on the Outer Banks from the 1950's to the present.
