As a realtor and a resident of the township of Millburn/Short Hills, I am always on top of new and exciting developments within the township. The most recent noteworthy occurrence has to do with the public school system. The township of Millburn/Short Hills is renowned for hosting the number one public high school in the entire state of New Jersey. In order to keep this title, the board of education is working hard to keep up their current standard of excellence. In order to do this properly, they have hired an impressive number of 33 new public school teachers to help start off the 2008-2009 academic year.
Within the group of newly hired educators, five will be administrators. These new administrators are an excited and capable group who will surely add to the Millburn Schools’ already sterling reputation. Elaine Vislocky will be the new head of technology integration, James Clayton will be the interim human resources specialist, Harriet Beckerman will serve as the interim principal at Wyoming School, Kenneth Frattini will be working as the instructional supervisor at Glenwood School and Monica Misiak will be the district’s new teacher of the deaf. 17 new teachers will be introduced into the elementary schools, six will teach in Millburn Middle School and five at the Blue Ribbon Award winning Millburn High School.
The Millburn/Short Hills community values its youth above all else. There is no doubt that these new academic faculty members will continue to help children of the township of Millburn/Short Hills to achieve their very best. It is no wonder that new homeowners want to move to a place that will help their children take advantage of their great potential.
