Go Round Rock

Not too long ago, I wrote a blog about Austin being featured in an article as being one of the most tech-friendly cities in the nation.  I highlighted that tech is driving our market, which means that Austin is, and will continue to be, a strong supplier of jobs.  Of course, with jobs comes a stable and increasing real estate market.

Just recently, I found this and happy to see that Round Rock is being nationally recognized as one of the best places to live.  The brief article talks about Round Rock's hospitals, excellent schools, and, of course, an IKEA store.

I decided to write about this, not because it's especially exciting, but to highlight how strong our market really is.  I think, maybe, here in Austin, we tend to take our situation here a bit for granted.

Yeah, forclosures are on the rise.  Yeah, financing is getting more restricted.  Yeah, real estate is a tougher to get in and out of.  But, we are standing strong compared to the rest of the nation and we should take advantage of our surroundings.  It is a great, and relatively safe, time to start learning the game of real estate investing.
