Oh Joy was my last thought last evening right before my computer crashed! I was trying to do a good thing, installing an updated Virus Program and all of the sudden - the UGLY BLUE SCREEN! You all know the one, the one that says Windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer etc. etc. etc. Of course following the instructions is impossible because that involves using windows and windows is no longer working! So to start my day today it was off to the Computer Doctor! What would I do without my ancient Gateway, and I mean ancient (Windows 98 was it's original operating system) system. I have always kept this old machine and I upgraded it to Windows XP a few years ago during another computer crisis. It is slower than molasses but it still works and in all the years I have had it, not once has it died. A few small problems ocassionally but nothing I couldn't fix myself. Technology is wonderful but for a computer idiot like me, when they go, I'm all done! Oh well, I'm in business again, just takes a whole lot longer to get anything done. I'm still smiling, hope you are too.
Sandra, I think that maybe you should buy a Mac! No real virus issues! It is heaven~
Thanks for reminding me. I need to do a backup for my computer before it goes away.
Sandra, It is always frustrating to deal with technical issues that make your job more difficult than it already is! This reminds me to do updates on my computer, delete junk files and keep it running quickly. Nothing worse than a super slow loading bar-- 5%, 7%, etc. Good luck!
Oh Sandie I'm so sorry that's aweful! I am lucky enough to have my computer guy in the back of my office....he's a life saver!
You really should reward yourself with a nice, new laptop. It's amazing how much prices have come down over the years, and it's amazing how much faster my computer works when compared to one from even a couple of years ago. It makes life that much more agreeable.
