I started as an assistant to an REO agent last week. Being relatively new to the RE business I didn't know much about this end of it. I began reading this blog and appreciated the invaluable info on here. So happy to see there are people who want to share with us newbies, may the kindness be repaid. Anyway, back to this week- I rode along with my REO agent to my first two evictions. It was heart wrenching to say the least. Watching people pack in a hurry in order to vacate the property is definetly the down side of this business. I am going to have to learn to set my feelings aside for the moment in order to see the bigger picture, which is that things happen and mortgage payments don't get paid. Hopefully these people will be able to turn their situation around and get on their feet again with a stonger resolution to not let this happen again. Here's my question, which I might have missed on earlier blogs: How do you all deal with the emotions of witnessing families' lives in upheavals?
Grateful for any responses,
Hilda
