Easter Egg Hunt - A Great Success

It could have been sunnier, but a great day had by all!  We started setting up at 10:00 our guest arrived at noon with cute little boys and girls with their Easter Baskets.  From noon until the hunt, the kids had their faces painted, sak races, and of course a few older boys trying to spy on where the hidden eggs were.  We split up the ages of kids and had the area taped off with "Easter"  pink tape, at 1:00 the tape was cut and off they went!  We hid over 300 eggs and all were found.  We had "back up" for the kids who didn't have much luck.  There are always a few.  Each child was allowed to keep up to 5 eggs and then they would proceed to the prize table.  All children got nice size easter bags filled with goodies and if you found a metalic egg you were one of 20 kids who won a more substantial prize.  We all had so much fun.  It didn't stop there, after the hunt the children hung out and ate hot dogs (adults added Chili) popcorn and juice.

A funny thing happened, one older woman with husband and young grandchild tried to leave with  a tall homemade Easter Egg lawn decoration, our Broker went chasing after her to ask her to please return it, it wasn't part of the hunt, just for decoration.  We laughed alot over that one!  There is always one!

Scroll below to check out some pics!  Next year they'll be double kids and double fun!

Awesome idea Meg, did you sponsor this on your own or with your office? I'll definitely consider doing this next year. Love the face-painting, Easter bunny......looks like a lot of fun was had by all. Thanks for sharing.
