how do i stop the constant e-mail notifications when I get a comment

By
Real Estate Agent with Long and Foster Realtors

Hello all how are you today...  I am curious as to how I stop getting e-mail notifications for every comment I get.  There must be a way to reduce the amount coming in my mailbox.  If anyone could answer this  Iwould really appreciate it.

Oh by the way thanks for the correction on Dale Carnegie-Napoleon HIll.  It was rather late last night and I am reading How to influence people by Dale Carnegie.  I got it all mixed up, we ll cest la vie, I will have to view my blogs a little better, especially at 2 am..lol...

Hope everyone has a good and prosperous SUnday...Go Giants............

I dont know if you would want that service turned off. If you are using an outside blog and having your comments published then someone could leave something you dont want people to see. Plus you cant participate in your blog without checking on each one. How do you know someone didnt respond a week later how would you see it?

PS. You want people to comment, it gives you more points! After you disable that feature, you can go to your statistics page and see how many comments you have received and how many people have read the blog and how many have clicked through to your profile. Good luck!

I wish I had that problem, lol.  I think Shane is right.  You can go ahead and delete the email notification without reading it if you want, but at least you know to check your blog for comments later.

'Looks like several people have already answered this for you, as it relates to notifications of comments on other people's blog posts.

To disable notification of comments on your own posts, go to your home page, look on the left navigation bar for "my settings" and uncheck boxes you choose.  The only boxes still checked in the left column of mine are "contacts" and "group emails".   Very liberating!

Why not have the responseses go to a unique email address?  This way it won't interfere with your business and you won't miss the good ones.

The "welcome" comments will diminish soon...and all my Active Rain comments are channelled to a specific mailbox. I read them when the time is right for it.
