The Leaping Lotus in the Cedros District of Solana Beach, CA, is a terrific venue for shopping.

It's hard to describe the wide array and eclectic nature of this 2-story emporium in the heart of the Cedros Design District, which is itself a fabulous place to spend money on your home and garden. There are dozens and dozens of vendors with booths, large and small, featuring just about everything you could want or need:

furniture, art, jewelry, a huge selection of clothing for every body part, home furnishings, cards, glassware, dishes, all sort of decorative items, soaps, perfumes, candles, pottery, and on and on

The other cool thing is that Leaping Lotus stocks items from around the world - Bali, Thailand, China, Japan, Mexico, Bali, France and much more.

Leaping Lotus is a wonderful place to spend an hour or two browsing, doing your holiday shopping, or trying to find a special and unique gift for a friend or family member.

All - thanks for the comments. This place really is pretty unusual. There is so much stuff and some really good quality items and things that you might be hard pressed to find elsewhere, as well as lots of trinkets. I don;t think we have eve been there an not spent at least an hour, even just looking.

The stairs ARE marble (from what I can tell). Some of the vendors are quite small - stalls or about 6 x 8.

George - yep, I think, from what you say, that you would be in trouble.

Stuff also changes regularly, and vendors come and go. Inventory must be in the millions!! Definitely worth a visit if you come visit.
