Lending in the "New Real Estate Market"

By
Real Estate Agent with Town&Country Realty and Mortgage

Lending is now the name of the game.  I just completed a 2 day course and received my "Affordable Housing" designation and much to my surprise, I was amazed at what I learned.  There is a new lending atmosphere on the horizon.  No more "slam dunk" conventional loans the way we remember them.  Many of the first time home buyers are going to need experienced real estate agents to guide them through the vast sea of loan programs.   A Real Estate Agent educated in the lending market will be the most successful in today's market.  FHA has gone by the wayside!  FHFA is the new FHA.  If that doesn't set off some bells in your head, you had better wake up.  I am setting up a booklet in my office that will contain all of the Loan Programs that were taught at my class and that will become the Bible for our office.  This will be the tool that will separate my office from the others.  "If you can't finance the home, you can't buy it"  will be the crux of our new Marketing Campaign. I'm anxious to get started and will be happy to help any buyer, seller or realtor who needs more information.
