O.K., I'm just getting back in "the rain" after a long absence and I decided that I would try this blog thing again. Please be patient...I don't know what tags are or ratings or any of those things that sound so important about blogging but I've read enough on AR to know that blogging is a good thing.
In this market of "desperation" for having clients, we are stumbling over ourselves making sure we are on top our game when it comes to client relationships. We are courteous and professional, available 24/7, and return calls promptly. However, don't we, as professionals, have an obligation to each other to maintain a professional relationship? Every contact is an opportunity for business, especially contact from other agents.
I have called several agents to request status or additional information on their listings. I'm still waiting for the return phone call that never comes. Most of these calls are for REO's or Short Sale properties. I know you feel like you've arrived because you have several of these listings. But geez! Help a sistah out! Help us all out! We're trying to get somewhere too! Returning phone calls is part of Professionalism 101. If you have so much phone activity that you can't or won't return phone calls to other agents then update the MLS so the rest of us can remain professional for our clients. You owe that to your clients, my clients and me. That's part of my definition of professionalism.
If anyone responds to this please forgive me if it takes me a minute to figure out how to comment back.
Thanks for listening!
