In most markets properties are staying on the market longer and prices are dropping.
As I've watched a seller's market turn into a buyer's market, I find myself thinking of the large inventory of homes for sale and the large number of people who have been thinking about making a move or an investment. But do they understand the importance of taking action now, before the market changes again - as we know it will?
Over the past few months I've helped a newly divorced young lady purchase her first home; a growing family buy a larger home with a wonderful backyard; a husband and wife purchase two rental properties; and a previous client sell a condo and buy a townhome. Some or all of these purchases might not have been possible for my clients a year ago, but now the timing is right - for buyers who are aware of the opportunities.
In all of these cases the clients were able to get most of their closing paid, home warranties, and almost all repairs done to the home. Now is the time to buy while rates are still low. This is the best Buyers market in 7 years, it doesn't get any better than this. My advice is to buy now because it going to change again and it may not be for the better.
