Foreclosure offer rejected

Last week I was representing a buyer, and we made an offer on a bank owned property (forclosure). The list price was $129,900, the bank responded with highest and best bidder. I discussed with my buyer, and she really wanted the home. We offered $115,000 cash, and provided proof of funds. The bank called back 3 days later, she did not get the home.

I am disappointed that some buyers are being misled when purchasing foreclosures. We are all lead to believe that the banks will take anything to get out, case in point; not in this particular experience.

Does anyone have any foreclosure feedback?

Normally, the foreclosure banks have already done their BPO's and appraisals (not like short sales) by the time they list and so have priced the property pretty accurately. They are usually looking for 93-95% of the list price, again unlike a short sale. It also depends on how long the property has been listed.
