This is one of the best times in years to purchase property on Maine lakes. I recently was out on Sebago Lake on a glorious day and there was not a boat in sight. The water was indigo blue and like glass. We went out by Frye Island just at the time that the ferry was going back to Raymond Cape. In late fall, it will be completing the season. I took a picture from the boat looking back at the wake we were creating. I thought of the many people who would love to be spending time on the lake on such a day. I went home and created a virtual tour of photos to share with brokers from the state of Massachusetts where many of the property owners come from. Sebago is such a gorgeous lake and only about 2 hours from Boston. The Lakes Region has many lakes and smaller ponds, something for very budget. Would be owners should be making those calls to see what might be available. Currently there is one home on Little Sebago which 2 years ago sold for over $1.2 million and is now in the mid $800k range. I recently had $100k reduction on a parcel of land with 201 feet of frontage. Sellers are looking for offers.
