Garden of Eating Tour

September 15 - 21, 2008 is the first annual Garden of Eating Tour. It is a week of a self guided driving tour featuring local food and products from the best independent local farms and restaurants in Columbia and Albany, Rensselaer counties. You can follow the trail of cheeses, vegetables and fruits, meats, breads, wines, beers as you wind your way through the family-owned farms, vineyards and orchards . Dozens of restaurants spanning the three counties also celebrate  our fabulous local bounty.  You can pick your own fruits and vegatables, visit dozens of farmstands and markets, stop into country stores for an array of honey, maple syrup, baked goods and cider.To learn more visit Gardenof eatingtour.com
