Recently I have been a little stressed, yes, in my own little real estate world, ok, maybe stress is not the right word. I think the correct term would be P-A-N-I-C!
Part of my job as a Real Estate Trainer is research. I spend at least 20 hours a week on research from all different sources, as ActiveRain has grown so has the information sources. I honestly spend a good 10 hours a week on ActiveRain. Yes, all of you who contribute has made a contribution to how I train and what I train and in many ways have changed my thought process.
Panic, Why? Honestly, it has awakened me to a much bigger place, bigger than what my own little real estate world will ever be, it has me thinking and thinking hard, plain and simple, it's all about LIFE.
So today rather than my usual Real Estate Training I will share with you thoughts from the Activerain network and thoughts that we should ponder.
Mariana Wagner's Post of Perspective had me really thinking. Deep scary thoughts, our children's future. Will the children be ready? Do we do everything we can as humans to ensure that each and every child has the fair chance to become a happy and productive adult in our society? Why does it take privately funded schools to get our children up to par after all aren't we the richest country in the world? Maybe the problem is us, are we so concerned about our riches that our children are the second priority? Do we not think about the fact that these children will be our world leaders, our teachers and doctors? How about the people entering the work force now, will they be ready for the future? How about their parents? And their parents?
Racquel Turner's post reminds us to be grateful and appreciate the little things in life. Ask yourself these questions, when was the last time you went without a meal? Do you have a roof over your head? How would you feel if the only possession was the clothes you are wearing? If our real estate markets are killing all of us and employer's downsizing to laying people off, imagine what is happening globally. Face it, human beings globally are suffering, don't hide from it or ignore it, it could be us one day! What would you do if you only had $1.00 a day to feed your family?
Colleen Kulikowski reminded us never to forget our humble roots! Do the right thing and pay it forward. Has someone taken the time to share something quite valuable to you that is so amazing you can't help but talk about it and share it, it's almost as if it is passed on from generation to generation? How about that person in your life who just needs that little shove that may lead them the way to greatness? What about you? Has someone in your life given you a second chance and you didn't expect it? How about a total stranger? Did you or would you pay it forward to someone who truly needs it? When was the last time you did a good deed to expect nothing in return except to keep the chain going and pay it forward?
The ActiveRain community reminds us that sometimes The Best Things In Life Are Free! Do you take the time to stroll or stop and smell the flowers? Imagine today, that ActiveRain did not exist, what would you be doing right now? What about those of you who met yesterday face to face for the first time and probably would not have met otherwise? What about those of you who have not met and really look forward in doing so? Do you believe that sometimes the best things in life are free?
These are just a few of the posts that have left me with my eyes wide open. What are yours?
