There has been a second reported case of West Nile Virus in the Pensacola Florida area.  Mosquitoes have been horrible so please try and stay safe.  Make sure you have your local Escambia County Mosquito Control spray your neighborhoods.  There are a few things that you can do yourself to stay protected.  Remove all standing water in your yard, pick up trash, where long sleeve shirts and spray you and your family with a repellant or just get the wipes and wipe down your little ones.  It is better to be safe than sorry and don't forget to call the Escambia County Mosquito Control.

Dianne - All the advice you gave is great. Our son has a place in Rockport and the truck comes every evening to spray. The homeowner association puts out some kind of a donut looking thingy in the canal that is suppose to help keep down mosquitoes.

When we go down to visit Ceil always puts a scented dryer sheet around the collar of her blouse and that is suppose to help keep the mosquitoes away. She uses Snuggles and has a nice scent. Mosquitoes never seento come around when she does that.

Dianne we have had our battles also with the West Nile Virus in the past years.  I did not here about it to much around here this year, but it is something that we are always concerned about.

I live in Ft. Walton Beach, and the house next door to me is a rental property for the next 2 years - the owner is an officer in the Air Force and will be retireing in 2 years.  The tenants have let their pool go all summer and I now have a 9-week old grandbaby and the mosquitoes are AWFUL!  It scares the heck out of me.
