Domain name strategy

Services for Real Estate Pros with Cutler Real Estate

Domain names have become a must for REALTORS today.  But many buy one domain - usually their name and use it everywhere.  There is a better way.  First consider buying a domain name that matches your service or your service area but doesn't include your name.  BestHomesInStow orBest-Homes-In-Stow or Move2Stow or Live-in-Stow.  If you have a good domain that has generated a lot of traffic during your life as a REALTOR you may be able to sell the domain to a new agent in the area when you retire and maybe even generate a little income from the contacts that use the domain.

You show also consider buying domain names as if your name was mispelled, i.e. cindy as well as cyndi.  Many people just keep entering derivaives of a name until they find who or what they want.  Some don't and take the first one they find.

You should buy your name if you can and purchase more generic names as well. A friend of ours is trying to sell her biz, but, it is all based on her name. She did not mirror her site with others...

Good advice, and a reasonable strategy for marketing.
