Do you hear a huge flushing sound? Could be that meant another $85 billion of YOUR dollars just went into bailing out AIG company. Was this drastic move necessary? That is debatable. The government says it had to be done to stabilize world financial markets. Maybe so, but NO ONE actually knows for sure. We are so far off the map that Christopher Columbus would have a hard time finding land right now. The scarier part is the hearing being held in the House of Representatives by one other than yours truly, Mr. Barney Frank. He along with Senator Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are seriously brainstorming the idea of creating a brand new agency. This agency could be named the Bailout Service, or just BS, as short to the American people. The mission would officially be to bailout out companies and parts of the financial industry that are distressed. However, bailout is a deceiving term. We think as "bailing", as something we might do to remove water out of a sinking ship. The problem here is, we may be bailing in front, but out back, the government is unloading. Unloading all the gold and treasure that is, from the privately owned ship to the government ship. Once the government has all the treasure, the government owns the ship. That is what is called the SS Socialism, the biggest fastest ship being built in America.
So, we as the people, have to decide, just as the Chinese decided many years ago. Are we so worried about the ship sinking that we want the government to take it over and "save us"? One has to understand that socialist and or communist countries, such as China, Cuba, (and at some point Russia once again) never forced the government to take over their lives. READ MY LIPS - the people ASKED to be taken care of. They decided it was too hard to take care of themselves and that it was better to be warm in cinder block housing, and fed government issued grain and cheese, than to have to go out, find a job, risk losing that job, and worry about having to take care of themselves. Did you see one single Chinese citizen with a gun to their head during the Olympics? Not to malign dissidents, but I am referring to the general population.
If that is what you really want. Security over opportunit, and are willing to give up freedoms to obtain that security...then go for it. Support the move for the eventual takeover of all of the busineses, insurers, health care, employment, etc., etc. Don't worry, Barney Frank will take care of you.
