Josh Plummer, the Michigan mortgage broker who has been holding off Sara Lipnitz in The Race for Third, posted this just moments ago on our Labor Day Update:
"I might have to quit soon and concede the Race, before I end up like Howard Dean. (Im already crazy enough) Seriously though, I don't think I can win...I'm not as pretty as Sara, and AR Bloggers remind me every chance they get. (Am I that Ugly? I may get a complex)
Secondly I think I have made an enemy someplace. (unless its Sara, secretly plotting my down-fall...how very Iran-Contra-Like) My Blogs are getting a little less exposure these days...Even though they are frequently commented on, Far too many of them have a negative rating -1 or worse. LOL
Either I have found an enemy, or some people don't get the value of this site yet. Not every post I make is Thesis quality, Some really are just Shameless Plugs, using lots of Key words about my services, in hopes that the popularity of this site will help consumers locate me and my blog SEO is my Mantra Baby! This leaves us with a few questions:
- Is the Race for Third over, or is this another tactical manuever by Plummer?
- Is the Race for Third really just a beauty contest?
- Are the bloggers on AR blogging for quality or quantity?
- Who is behind the 'downs' on JP's posts?
While its too early to declare this race over, we declare Maureen Francis as the biggest loser if it does indeed end. The Race for Third has provided her with many a laugh and an almost bottomless source of bloggable material. In fact, she has a stockpile of posts on The Race for Third that may soon be deemed point-less!
Both Lipnitz and Plummer are winners, regardless of who ultimately secures the coveted #3 seat. Its only a matter of time before some motivated newbie shows up and goes for the gold.
