Sometimes Real Estate Agents get a bad rap, perhaps this is because new home buyers and home-sellers do not like the fact that the realtor takes a commission. It is easy to see why some people do not put realtors in high-favor and I perfectly understand why this is happening, and I certainly do not blame anyone for feeling this way. Although no one in my family has ever said anything to me, I am sure some members of my family probably feel the same way.
If you would let me explain why this negative perception of some folks misses the mark, you see, a realtor does not just sell your home; we do a lot more, at least I know I do. I really love working with my clients and I do the very best job possible. I spend countless hours running around making sure every thing is perfect and paying attention to all the little details. The hours I spend alone studying the market, should have earned me at least a PhD over my 20-years in the real estate business.
Comparing "real estate professionals" to used car salesmen, lawyers or some other career path with a negative stigma, sometimes upsets me. I will work hard for you because I care, because my reputation depends on it. I live off my referrals and I am known in this community, so I will not take advantage of my customers or clients.
There is a bit of competition here in the Palm Desert and Palm Springs area, and I am not afraid to compete, because I know I can stand on a firm foundation of integrity, my parents raised me right. I do not make promises that are unrealistic or embellish the expectations of what a seller can expect in this market, nor will I be disingenuous to my buyers. I do not just sell homes, I help consult my clients to help them and prevent them from making mistakes that could cause them harm or financial ruin and I can say this without flinching - I am worth every penny.
I have clients who will tell you that I am a great real estate agent and I have plenty of testimonials from them and this is where most all my referrals come from. In fact, it makes me feel good and it makes me smile to know I have made a difference in people's lives, that I have helped them secure their dream home. I do it because I care, I do it for you and yes I am a realtor and I hope, I just hope I can prove it.
