Like other local communities along the North County San Diego Coast, Del Mar will be hosting an expanded Taste of Del Mar and an art stroll.

The Leucadia Art Walk is an annual event, for example, and I have event ventured north into Orange County to the art walks in Laguna Beach - an ocean front town with arts galore.
Carlsbad, where I live, has their own Taste of Carlsbad, this year being part of Art Splash.
The Del Mar Stroll and the Taste of Del Mar, being held on Oct. 4, 2008 is the 7th annual event. There is a free art stroll with original art work from more than 70 artists, beginning at 11th Street along Camino Del Mar (main street). The Taste of Del Mar will feature creations from more than 20 restaurants in town, plus wine and beer/ale.
The art work is varied and from all mediums - photography, paintings, ceramics, sculpture and more. There will also be 7 music venues throughout the downtown area. Kids interactive art stations will be available beginning at noon until 4 pm (e.g., hat making, drumming sessions)
