Thank you to a young fallen soldier!

Lenny's family will be in our thoughts and prayers, and thank you for your selfless service to our great country!  Thank you Kim for letting us all know about Lenny and his family!

Oh my.  I am teary eyed over the loss of this fine young man and my prayers go out to his family and friends.

My heart goes out to this young man's family and friends as well as others who have lost loved ones, helping to keep our homefront free of terrorist. God Bless all of our troops.

We heard of Lenny's passing last night on the news here.  We've lost a lot of good men and women from Fort Lewis in this conflict.  Because of men and women like Lenny, we all have the freedom and opportunity to live our lives in peace and safety.

As unfortunate as it is, war will always be a part of life. It is sad to see so many of our young men and women sent to their death over a pointless (and costly) war. I still don't understand why we even invaded Iraq in the first place. Oh, thats right... weapons of mass destruction which they still haven't found to this day! What a joke. Every soldiers death is a continuous reminder for us all and it makes me feel ashamed to be an American citizen.

Kim, Thank you for paying tribute to such a young soldier...it is so unfortunate that we are losing our brave men and women...we should ALWAYS remember that someone is out there fighting for OUR freedom...every single day...God Bless You Lenard Gulczynski!!!

My thoughts and prayers are with Lenny and his family, as with all the brave military personnel and their families.  Living in Washington, we have many military bases and have a strong support system to help those who make the sacrifices to keep our country free.  You can get involved by going to www.OperationHomefront.net.  There are chapters all over the U.S. and our mission is to support our troops, the families they leave behind during deployment and our wounded warriors when they return.  It is an all volunteer organization and every chapter needs good volunteers.  You can donate as much or as little time as you can.  and I can tell you 1st hand, having participated in several events for the military, how very much they appreciate everything that's done for them. 

Please let's not turn this blog into a place to make political comments but keep it as a wonderful way to remember Lenny and others who give the ultimate sacrifice.

Carol - I feel such sorrow and sadness every time I read or hear of the passing of a fallen soldier who has been killed in the line of duty.  As the mother of a soldier who has been deployed four times in the past 6 years, I can't even imagine as a parent the pain and sadness of losing a son.  My thoughts and prayers are with Lenny's family and friends.  God Bless America and all those who have served for our freedom.

Each and every one of these stories saddens me even more. My 23 year old brother will be leaving next week for his first tour in Iraq as a Marine. It will be 7 months of he11 for me awaiting his safe return!

What a sad and tragic loss - too many of our sons and daughters have lost their lives for a senseless war. My heart and prayers go out to Lenny's family and loved ones. My heartfelt gratitude goes out to all our brave soldiers. God Bless our Soldiers and God Bless America.

My prayers to his family. I am also in the guard and I could imagine what my family would do if anything ever happened to me.  

 I salute the man that gave his life for us"Was Bush And Cheney Their or Rice? oR mcAIN? I want the family to know that I appreaciate the fact that he served for a war that is like vietnam senseless.

My Heart goes out to this Family, I have a son in the National Guard and he has served 1 term in Iraq and is due to serve another.  Our Prayers will be with this family, May God give them "Peace that passes all understanding" in their time of Loss.
