who needs staging? that's like asking who needs a haircut?

Home Stager with stagewithme, Greenville, South Carolina

Hello everyone

Yesterday I got my Haircut, just my usual trim, and while I was waiting there I thought about this blog.

Who needs staging ? that is like asking who needs a haircut ?

Staging is essential for every house, weather it is on the market , going to be on the market, or even if it is NOT, who would not want to live in a clutter free and organized environment, staging will do that for you.

just like everyone needs a haircut, everyone needs staging too.  Sometimes you might just need a trim and sometimes you might have to get a totally new hair style just to update yourself. same thing goes with staging, sometimes you might need just organizing and de-cluttering, or sometimes you might need a lot of improvements to bring the house into today's style.

will staging give me the guarantee that the house will really sale ? Is a new haircut going to get you a guarantee of a new job, or a date ?  NO NO NO there are no GUARANTEES in life !! BUT IT SURE WILL INCREASE YOUR CHANCES.

And that is why you have to go for staging, it will increase your chances especially in today's market it is more than essential to have more people look at the property, If your house is staged well then it is going to show well and increase the foot traffic, and that will eventually lead to a sale.

so vote YES for staging.

Great postl -- Gives me that emotional connection because don't we always feel so wonderful when we get our haircut?  And oh that "ahhh" moment when you walk into a home that is prepared to sell by a stager -- both great feelings!

Shobha, Great analogy. I meet Realtors all the time that say "if I have a listing that needs staging I'll call you". I don't know if this is what they believe or if it's just a way to get rid of me. LOL

This is a great way to demonstrate the need for home staging. It is something everyone can relate to. How clever.

Shobha ~ You are right, some people need a little rearranging while others need the works. You have a very nice way of making your point.

Shobha-I agree that homes do need to be staged. They show so much better. I have been in homes that I just wish they would clean up and pick their dirty laundry up off the floor.  Good blog. Thanks for sharing.

Like the analogy Shobha! and I just got my haircut too ;-) This is another area where one should let the professionals do what the professionals do best!

Barbara -  Thank you for your comment. I think stagers should decide what the home needs.

Laura -  I am like that too, I cannot stand it sometimes.

Karen _ You are absolutely right, I would not cut my own hair, let the professionals handle it, because they are the ones, who have proper tools, and knowledge of how to do it.

Great analogy!  I have not found a house yet that I thought didn't need some help.  All price ranges have competition, and all houses can use some professional assistance in the preparation for sale.

Kathleen -  yes you are ready to go, we have to stage ourselves too.

Shobha. Heh, heh, - sorry I was actually referring to the house in a haircut kind of way, but yes we have to  concern ourselves with our appearances and actions as well.

I sure need a haircut, myself!

Been to busy to stop and make myself an appt, so up in a loose bun it goes!

Would I like it more stylish and coifed? Yes.

Would it be easier to maintain? Yes!

Would I actually look forward to styling it. Definitely yes.
