Lost option fee checks

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Access

Here's something...What do you tell your client when the listing agent calls you up and tells you they've LOST the option fee check and want YOU to call YOUR client and tell them to re-send another???? Uhhh...Okay.  I couldn't believe it, but I went ahead and told my client, they of course were furious since they will have to put a "stop-pay" on their original check and send another... I'm sure I'm not the only one to experience this.  Honestly, I know we are not perfect, it could happen but it's just the first time its happened to me and it just so happens to be 2 months AFTER we had already closed.  DRAMA!

Well what the heck took them sooooooo long to realize they didn't have it?!!  That's funny.

You are supposed to comment back at what the people say to you.

I know! It took her over a month to figure it out and now my client is really upset...She wants the listing agent to take care of it out of her own pocket. YIKES!

Leti & Kristin, you two are funny but in a cute way.

Knock on wood, I have never had anyone lose an option check but other equally annoying things have come up.
