Real Estate Auctions

Just out of curiosity how many Real Estate Professionals out there are involved with the auction method of liquidating real estate? I am looking for one auction specialist in every state to work referrals with. I have been in the Real Estate and personal property auction business for the last 5 years as well as conventional real estate. They say 1 in 3 homes will use the auction method by the year 2010. What is everyones opinion of this?

Tamara - I have been selling at auction for about 12 years and have sold in just almost every state + Mexico and Canada.  Most of that was equipment, but I would say I have done RE in about 10 states.  About 4 years ago I quit the Big Game and opened my own shop in Columbus OH.  I service the entire state, but the deal needs to be a pretty good size to go further than 2 hours from home.  I am a member of the NAA, have completed 2 of 3 years of my CAI designation and teach CE on auctions.

It is interested that I saw 2 of your blogs today about referring deals in auctions and the other was REO.  If we could get the real estate community to be more cooperative with eachother in these areas, we can all be better off.
