Ok, here goes, my first blog. I am new to ActiveRain, but have already learned a lot. The blogs are great, and the comments are as well. Very informative. I've been a Realtor for a few years now. I love working with first time homeowners. Well, I just love working with everyone. I am a people person and really enjoy meeting and helping people. It seems that with every transaction, I learn something new. I am with a wonderful company, Real Estate Central. Everyone there is absolutely wonderful and it's certainly a TEAM, not individual efforts. Everyone in our company is very helpful and positive. The positive attitude, I believe, is a BIG part of being a success. A great Realtor told me once "If you have one that falls thru, just move on to the next one." With that attitude, my business is growing leaps and bounds. I'm anxious to learn more on this network and to making new friends here. Please introduce yourself to me and offer any advice you can. Welcome. You have a lot to learn. One word of advise,when you get a call from a firm stating they can get you leads make sure you enter the name on Active Rain and see if anyone else has delt with the company. I can tell you by experience a search on Active Rain has saved me a lot of time by not having to spend more time with companies that can not produce the results they promice.
As far as establishing a system, see what works in your office and takes notes. What works in the winter may not be as effective in the summer sales season.
Get to know your neighborhood and let them know you are there to answer their questions. Give them a sheet with a list of the latest sales in the neigborhood. This is info everyone can use and I will tell you, most agents do not take the time to share. They are always telling everyone whaty is for sale. Be a little different. Who do you think they will remember?

WOW, this is awesome!!! I posted my first blog, went to bed last night and wake up this morning to all these wonderful comments! You guys are wonderful! I do appreciate all the great comments, tips, encouragement and I'm certainly feeling the love. I am now addicted!!
Mitzi- Yes, it is a pretty awesome site :) There is a ton of information if you want to learn. A ton of Posts if you just want to socialize, and a ton of nonsense that hopefully you don't get involved in. The best thing to do is keep your nose clean, be careful how you comment on others Posts as you never know who reads it, and to follow the Guidelines Sally referred to.
In the beginning after the first couple new Posts it might be hard to get a reader base that follows you....but with good Posts and by reciprocating your comments you will do it. Anyway, Welcome, and enjoy this wonderful adventure. Pretty much everything you want to know it in the Guidelines, or use the Search Button at the top.
