Who will look out for me???

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty

Well, it's about that time again. I need a vacation!!!! In less than one week I am flying to Germany for two weeks to visit friends and family.

My biggest concern ist, who will watch over my clients and files?! With all these short sales going on, I am just worried sick that something will happen while I am gone.

I guess I just need to trust my representation, he is a professional and will take care of everything for me.

How do you handle time off? Do you change your voicemail and auto reply on your email? Is there anything else I should or could be doing? If seems as if I got busy right when I booked my flight!!!! Yikes!!!

Well to start if you have a representation and he is a professional that if the first step.

I would let my clients know what is going on and how they can contact me or my representation.

I would change my phone mail message to reflect they can leave a message or call my representation.  I would also change my email to auto notify that I am out of the office and that they can contact my representation.

Then I would go and have a good time.

I would definitely change my voicemail.  Last time I went on vacation, I knew we might be getting an offer in and sent an email to the buyer's agent that I was heading outa town and gave her all the information.  My email got lost in cyberspace, even though I showed I sent it, and she was leaving voicemails for meon my cell.  Where I went didn't have cell service.  So she spent the weekend wondering why we weren't responding to their offer, especially when it went past the deadline.  That is my 2 cents.

Have a great vacation, relax and know that they are all in good hands!
