I have a listing were the appraiser went out did the appraisal, told the buyer that the seller bought the house for less than what it was being sold for, which didn't bother me as much as SAYING the house was a MOLD house. Which it never was. I confronted her about it, and she said the previous listing agent told her that. Asked the previous listing agent, and of course she never siad that. The buyer 2 days later backed out saying there was undisclosed mold. We have pics in the MLS showing no mold anywhere, pre rehab photos showing the same. Is there anything that can be done about something like this, or has anyone encountered this before. Thanks Jeremy

Wow, welcome to the rain and talk about throwing a great question out in your first post? I would go to the appriasal board and ask them. Then go to the real estate board and a real estate attorney and ask what they said should be done.
HI Jeremy... GREAT QUESTION
That really stinks. I've had something similar happen, instead of mold though, some agent told clients it had a bad foundation and they backed out of the contract without even getting it checked out b/c they were so afraid. Thank goodness my clients (sellers) were not bitter but instead hired an engineer to check the foundation and clear this mis-guided opinion up right away...I really wish people in general (Realtors included) would try to stick with the "facts" instead of just blurting out opinions...it really does more harm than good to all involved.
