Addicted to Active Rain

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty

I must admit, I am addicted to Active Rain.  I am relatively new to the network, and find myself really enjoying the website in my spare time.  I also have found that I need to be very careful when I have other things still on my to-do list, because it's so easy to lose track of time, and get behind. I know I am not the only one who is addicted; I see the number of blogs, and the active profiles; I know I am not alone. There might even be support groups out there, and maybe there is even some sort of active-rain "patch", if things get too out of control.  Right now, I am just soaking in all the information, learning the features, and enjoying all the great people on the network, and maybe in a little bit of denial if one or two things get pushed to the side while I get lost in the blogs.

Take care from all at Horse Farm Partners!

I'm not addicted.

ActiveRain is fully integrated in my Internet strategy.  I don't use ActiveRain as a social network.  For me, it's a real estate network.

It works.

Lenn makes a good point. It is very useful, but how fortunate are we that it's also a lot of fun?

I'm totally in as well.  Just taking my 14th deal in an hour.  Have a lady coming to my office for an application.  It took a while, but I love it.  Here's a post I wrote that sort of parallels your post.  Active Crack!!!!!

Hey, Horse (or is it Mr. & Ms. Horse?) -

Welcome to THE Real Estate Network!   Blog early, and blog often.

Being involved in AR will achieve three things for you - beside taking you away from your family for long stretches of time -

1.  It will force you to FOCUS on what's happening on RE on a daily basis, and become better fluent of the latest development's affecting the market.

2.  It will allow you to SHARE what you know with others, and have them share what they have learned with you.  WE'RE ALL ARMS LENGTH AWAY - despite the fact we come from all over the place.

3.  It will increase your WEB PRESENCE, since the search engines love RECENT NEWS - and that's what we share a lot of on AR.

Welcome to the addicted!

But this addiction is considerably more healthy for you that that pack of smokes, or that bottle of cheap wine!

Don't worry, the addiction will slowly fade as it is replaced with all the new business you're going to have. Balance is easier to find then! Welcome though!

Welcome to the club!

It IS easy to become addicted... I find myself flucuating in my addiction! One week I am SUPER addicated, writing blogs in advance, etc. then I find myself getting so busy the next week that I hardly have time to check messages!

It's a balancing act!

Have a great week!

Well Mike, you know I'm addicted! Isn't it fun. I love getting on here and reading the post and learning about all the different markets and meeting people. There are some great folks on here. Have fun, you will have times when you will pull away and than will come back, I promise. See you tomorrow - I'll be in the office some of the day.
