Which foot to step with first?

So, being a student in training and a good two months away from taking my exam, I was hoping for some friendly advice as to what I can do to simply get my feet wet.  I have just finished my second class and mailed in my application, so I am gettng familiar with the industry but have no clue what I am doing or how to do it.  I guess I am asking for advise on what I can be doing, besides studying haha, to become more comfortable in the real estate world.
