San Antonio's H-E-B grocery stores can help you out & show you how. I have seen these little recycling bins outside the main doors of H-E-B for months & recently started paying attention.
It's a convenient way to bring back your used shopping bags, dry cleaning bags, newspaper bags & stretch film. How convenient & fun! You can get your kids involved by talking to them about how they can help save the environment.
An even better idea is to buy the reusable bags H-E-B has for sale. A couple of bags holds a ton of groceries & helps save the environment. The bags are made of non-woven polypropylene, which is water resistant & recyclable (Yea!). Easy to care for & easy to RE-USE! I dump the stuff out of mine & throw them in my trunk for the next H-E-B run!
H-E-B is really going all out to make it easy for us to do our part, providing reusable bags, increasing the amount of items they put into plastic bags (if you are still using them!) & recycling materials including aluminum, steel, plastic, oil, cardboard and computers.
You can do your part by purchasing re-usable bags & using them! Here's what they look like:
The green ones are .99 cents each. Isn't that a great price to help save the environment? The green ones are for any items.
H-E-B also has some specifically made for holding cold items:
Called the "Chiller Bag" the blue chiller bag for frozen and refrigerated items runs only $1.97.
One LAST bag is for Texas lovers specifically & is my favorite of the three bags:
Support your earth & show off your state at the same time! This bag is $1.49.
Do your part to take care of Texas!
