Blogging for Dollars- If I don't comment on your comment am I rude?

Here's my Question.

If I don't comment on your comment to my blog am I rude?

Most of my blogs are short and to the point. I am never going to write the Great American Blog.

I have a comment, an observation and I am in and out.

I comment on the blogs of others, especially if they have struck a nerve, been helpful or I have enjoyed

them.

In reading these blogs I see that some bloggers go back and address each blogger with a comment.

When I get an email that someone has commented on my blog I usually reply through my email to them

and do not hit the reply through activerain. Is this okay?

Also, I don't always comment on the comments.

I don't know. What do you do?

I try to comment on each comment, and when possible visit that person's blog and comment on that. But it does take a lot of time sometimes.

Brenda, Thanks for your comments on my blog and I am here to comment on yours. When I get a comment on a blog I try to answer everyone or individuals within the comments so all can see ans sometimes comment again. Open lines of communication are key to our business and I try that on AR, too. I only email directly if it is a private reply or question.

I just started visiting the blogs of those who comment on mine --- and then when I see something that strikes me, I will comment. Occasionally, I will drop an email, sometimes as a follow up or to provide additional information.

I don't think it's expected to reciprocate comments, but it certainly is nice to "visit" and socialize. After all, that's what our community is supposed to be, isn't it?

Glad you liked the info I posted about the foreclosure map on hotpads. Hope you found that helpful and interesting.
