Adversity is something that we all face daily. Some of us face it hourly. And even some face it every second of their existance. It is not what adversities that are faced that define the person 
but how that person handles those adversities.
Dictionary.com gives the following meaning to adversity:
| 1. | adverse fortune or fate; a condition marked by misfortune, calamity, or distress: A friend will show his or her true colors in times of adversity. |
| 2. | an adverse or unfortunate event or circumstance: You will meet many adversities in life. |
As the 2 meaning is written, it comes to mind that I have never met a person that has not faced adversity in life. However, I have met many a person that has overcome adversity and become successful. And as time goes along, I will meet many more.
The biggest adversity facing our nation today is the economy. The
housing market is bad to say the least, the unemployment rate is rising, companies are failing, and the stock market is crashing. All of these are adversities in our lifes. Yet, in the face of this adversity, there is a beacon of light that is shining. There are people out there that are making the most of this "Doom and Gloom" situation. These are the people that face adversity head on and WIN. These are the people that I want to be associated with.
In closing, the quotes are a few more today as this is a subject that I think a lot of people need to find the inspiration in.
