Smart Growth America is a coalition of national, state and local organizations working to improve the ways we plan and build the towns, cities and metro areas we call home. The main elements of Smart Growth are identified as housing, the economy, childred and schools, environment, safe water, preservation and revitalization, social equity, transportation, open space and farmland, health and aging.
Realtor Magazine recently included an article in which they did a good job of summarizing the resources on the Smart Growth website. In it they stated, "Tune in to the national movement against urban sprawl to discover how the issue is affecting your market. In this month's Web review, we highlight a site [Smart Growth America] that's full of free resources on smart growth and explains how housing, schools, and transportation factor into the equation."
