Spartanburg is in the top 100 when it comes to wages and job growth!

Spartanburg - One of America's Top Performing Cities!

Once again, Spartanburg was named one of America's Best Performing Cities by Milken Institute. 

The Spartanburg Metropolitan Area was ranked 183 in the annual ranking where the 200 best performing cities are listed. This year's ranking is up from 187 in 2007.

In particular, Spartanburg ranked 99 best in one year wage/salaries growth, and 93 in job growth from March 2007 to March of 2008.

Wade Ballard, Chairman of the Chamber's Board said: "This is a recognition of the progress we have made in economic development, particularly in the job growth of 2007 and 2008. To be ranked in the top 100 in wage and job growth is very encouraging for the future of our area."
