Welcome to the Active Rain MacUsers Group

By
Education & Training with Summit Web Design and Long & Foster Realtors
First I'd like to say "Hi and Welcome" to everyone who has joined the Active Rain MacUsers Group group and to those of you who just stopped by to read what's going on.

The Active Rain MacUsers Group is about anything and everything related to Apple and Macintosh computing... so if you want to post in this group, all we ask is that you please stick to the topic.

There are very experienced Mac users here on AR and a ton of very talented people willing to share their knowledge with us so... let's make the best of it.

Looking forward to some great tips and wonderful discussions!

Regards,

Win Singleton

P.S. Please feel free to introduce yourself to the group, we'd love to "meet" you. And if you run across other Mac users here on AR, please let them know about our new group. :-)

Hi Win - I think this group is a fantastic idea.  As you know I'm new to Mac and so far I love it and the people who have helped me have been fantastic.  This is going to be a great group.

Win, This will be a great place to share ideas and ask questions.  I am excited about Garageband Podcasts and Podcasts using iMovie.  Are you doing anything with these and if so can you post a couple of links of work you have done?  I have some ideas that I would like to do for my lake community called Apple Valley.  Thanks, Sam Miller

Win,

Thank you very much for creating this group.

I am so excited that I discovered it. I haven't met any other realtor using Mac's in his profession yet. I am so glad that we do have a platform to discuss, learn and share information related to Apple / Mac products at AR.

Thanks again,

Flavia

Thanks for the invite and welcome, and for creating the Mac Users group. I've been an AR reader for a couple of years but I haven't posted before, no reason. But ever since I recently got my new MacPro and Macbook (which I'm SO glad I did), I figured it was about time to start posting. Real estate with a Mac has become a bit of a challenge, but I see it's doable according to the posts....thanks for the tips and ideas.

Lisa

PS: Are there also other Mac real estate user groups out there that I might be missing out on?

Greetings!  I have already learned a great deal from the MacUsers group members. I was using Adobe CS2 on a PC for a few years, and after fried hard drives, mother boards, etc, I made the switch to a MacBook pro two months ago.  I love the support and training from the Apple stores, and Mac users seem to be a bit more friendly than their PC counterparts...I'm excited to start creating podcasts and virtual tours along with the websites for listings.

Do you have any statistics on how many PC users are converting to Macs? I know the realtor population of Mac users is relatively small, but I'm on an MLS committee for Northern Colorado and they may be interested to know the numbers.

Thanks, Lisa VonBargen
