From Wikipedia:  The Sky is Falling, also known as Chicken Little, Chicken Licken or Henny Penny is an old fable of unknown origin about a chicken who believes the sky is falling. The phrase has also become used to indicate a hysterical or mistaken belief that disaster is imminent.

Does that sound familiar to you?  If you're selling a home, you've probably heard it at least a dozen times.  Well, here's the truth:  If your home is priced right, it will sell within a very reasonable amount of time.  There is always someone in need of housing, regardless of whether we're in or coming out of an economic recession.

In this first blog, I would like to share with you some Mineral County-specific data compiled by MRIS for the third quarter in 2006.

Average Home Price:  $139,000

# Homes on the Market:  147

# Homes Sold: 54

Average Days on Market:  97

Check back soon for tips on making your home stand out in a high-inventory market.
