My partner and I have both received our Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designation from NAR and we are excited to set up a marketing program to target Seniors in San Francisco. We learned in the course that we should market to the seniors themselves as well as to their families who may be helping their parents figure out where they want to move. Does anyone have experience with marketing to seniors and their families. What do you think is the best way to reach this group of potential homes sellers?
I am scheduled to take the SRES at the end of October. I am looking forward to seeing the feedback that you receive.
I have been an SRES for about 5 years now and can honestly say I have not utilized it...let me know how you do...much luck!!!!
Though not a specialist there are other I know and all they do is target senior housing communities and let the referrals expand from their. Here there is a Sun City....and multiple senior condominium projects, ideal for anyone like you.
I recieved my SRES in June. I live in a small town in Texas just outsite of College Station. I decided to send newsletters monthly to the seniors in our county. I put together articles that I feel they will enjoy and I enclude a puzzle, a recipe and I have a monthly drawing. It has really worked out well. I have listed two properties from it, sold one and I am working with another to purchase a property. I send out about 1000 newsletters a month. I have also found that many of them really want someone to talk to from time to time, so why not? They can teach me alot and I have fun with them.
