I've been to Candi-Land...and It's Great There!

OK my fellow Rainers, sometimes my blogs are about Real Estate in the Raleigh, NC area.

Sometimes they're about things to do in the area, a new listing, a tribute to a king, or a silly joke.

But today's blog is a thank you to fellow Rainer Candace Robinson.

Candace posted a cool blog that shows you how to make a widget for your sidebar (or for any blog site really).

But not only that, when I thanked her for it, and asked her a question about it, she took the time to make sure I had done it right.

I know there's a time difference between Raleigh, NC and Phoenix, Arizona. And I had written her with a question quite early this morning (my time). Yet, within 15 minutes she had responded! Either she's the earliest riser I know, or she was just getting in from the night before and checking email!

Anyway, whatever the case, subscribe to her blog. She's got some great stuff on it.

Thank you again Candace!

Below is the Quick Link Sidebar Candace showed us how to create. It took only a few minutes and a couple of curse words to figure out! But it's great to have on your web site or blog. Don't be afraid of all the HTML code. It's really quite easy to figure out. Give it a try. Also, look just under my profile picture to see where you can position it for the teeming masses who will undoubtedly be checking out your new spiffy look blog site!

Now you're hanging w/the big dogs! Candi is incredibly sharp and has been a big help to me in the past.  It's amazing the resources that we have here at AR.

Craig - You are way too kind, thank you for the post. Really, I so enjoy helping where I can. As for being up at that hour, yes it was a bit early but was getting a early start (or was it I was yet to hit the sack).  LOL...  I'm curious as to why your colors aren't coming through, I'm guessing there is something missing in the code. Going to check it out! Thanks again!

Thank you Candace.

The colors are the only thing I can't figure out. That's where the cursing came in to play!

Otherwise, I got all the links working and it looks good!

This was a super awesome post.

I really appreciate it when people take the time to help one another and then on top of it you complimented her, while endorsing the subscriptions of her blog.  Nice.  I love the great title too by the way.  I think it's great when people take the time to link in and out of their blog posts, way to maximize your efforts and keep the content organized.

Thank you Amber!

Candace is a special kind of lady who truly deserved recognition for her post and her subsequent efforts to help me from so far away...and for never having met me.

It's random acts of kindness like this that really make an impression on me.

Craig - You are super nice! Just for your kindness, I thought I would share another CandiLand snippet, if you get a chance go check it out and let m know if you can use it somewhere? It's a totally customizable footer!

Craig-There are a lot of wonderful people here on Rain and I am glad you found someone to help you. It is amazing how people will just jump in and help here.  Good Blog and thanks for sharing. You are only about 100 miles from me.  I am in NC too.  I am adding you to my Associates. Who knows we may be able to work referrals....

Craig --- I see color!! Great job! What was it?

UPDATE: on my way back to see if you implemented the footer, I noticed that on your blogroll where all your blogs run together, I can't see the colors on the sidebar snippet, but when I click on the post title and it opens in the same window, I can see color on your side bar and the snippet in the post? What's up with that? Weird!
