Realtor.com agent question

By
Real Estate Agent with RedKey Realty Leaders RB14030382

I tried to "sign up" as an agent on realtor.com (not.org).  I was curious about being a featured agent or showcase home.

However, it asks for the following:

agent/office/mls

mls

identifier

billing

I picked Agent, Mls: I chose my board, and for identifier, I put in my agent ID.  What do I put for billing?  Or, should I put something else in for Identifier??  It keeps saying invalid entry.

Skip the billing part.  I never put it in there.  Put in your agent ID that is used for your MLS.  If you are not sure about your password, call them and ask.  They should be able to help you with that. Good Luck.

Hi Lisa,

I used Realtor.com myself, however before you spend a dollar I would ask for other opinions. Sorry to say I know too many folks who spent thousands of dollars with zero, nada, nothing in return!

Personally I used the showcase option and it's based on the number of listing you have on an annual basis. For me that's the only thing I would pay for on Realtor.com. My sellers love it and it allow me to upload up to 25 photos. I also have a nice viewing report that is sent to my sellers.

Other than that, I would spend one more dollar than I need to there.

I agree with Lynda.  The showcase option is a great marketing tool for yourself and your homeowners properties.  They love it!

If you're still questioning your options, I'd contact a local representive for additional details.

Good luck.

There might be additional parameters required for the mls entry, Lisa, NRDS numbers, etc. Hope you get it worked out and that you're having a fine week.

Thank you!  I think I will have to call my local board and find out what exactly to put there.

I am curious about the listing showcase, but I am nervous about cost.  has anyone sold anything or gotten a lot of calls based on what the client saw on realtor.com???

Realtor.Com might have a blog that addresses it for you in more detail, Lisa, which might also include a help section. Hope it you find some good answers to help you navigate the web site.
