Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Being a student in school you should always have a balanced breakfast with whole grain foods such as cereals or whole wheat toast, low fat protein like yogurt or eggs and fruit, whether it be in juice or fresh fruit. Eating a balanced breakfast diet like this will keep you satisfied until lunch thus giving you an energy boost without the crash. Students who eat a well balanced breakfast are more likely to develop life long healthy eating habits, get better grades, avoid bad moods and maintain a healthy weight.

Its good to remember when the day of the test rolls around not to eat energy bars, though it may be good the fat and sugar in them make the energy bar more of a candy bar. Another tip is to wear light clothing to be cooled; studies show that students who take tests in slightly cooler temperature set rooms do better. Also, remember to stay calm before a test, don't cram in all the information right before. Use the time you have waiting to take the test in class to relax and clear your mind. Its also best that you get at least 8 to 9 hours of sleep the night before the big exam, especially at the last few hours of sleep is when your brain turns short term memory into long term.

During the test its best to get water with you to hydrate your brain, but don't over load on the intake of water, it can have the adverse effect on you. Your breakfast should be 25 percent of your daily calories. Don't have energy drinks in the morning either, not only will you have the jitters but a horrible crash within a few hours.

Most students in college have breaks before there next class or test. During this time its best to go for a light jog or stretch to relieve the stress from the next exam you have.

You don't have to be a student to eat a balanced breakfast like this one, it also helps at work keeping you alert and attentive in any meetings you have or presentations.
