Who needs a survey anyway?

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Cardinal Surveying & Mapping, Inc

"Why do I need a survey?"  If your client asked you that question, what would you say?

Would you reply: "You need one so that the bank will give you a loan."  Maybe your response would be "You are getting ready to make one of the largest purchases of your life.  Don't you want to know what you're purchasing outside the walls of your home?".  Better yet, you may reply "I have the perfect survey information sheet that explains why you need a survey, what types of surveys are available, and what you can expect to pay for a survey."

I have a background in education, but have been a part of the surveying industry for over 7 years.  I have owned my own surveying company, Cardinal Surveying & Mapping, Inc., for 5 years.  We are based out of St Charles, MO.  We service St Charles County, St Louis County and city, Warren County and Lincoln County.

Utilizing my education background, I have created the ultimate "Agent Surveying Cheat Sheet" which addresses all those questions that potential buyers frequently ask.  If you'd like to receive this information, please contact us at cardinalsurveying@gmail.com  or call us at 636.922.1001.  Please be advised that the information is based on Missouri State Statute and is subject to change.

Awesome opportunity for those agents in Missouri. Learning how to "language" (present) a question or response is one of the most crucial aspects of a real estate professional's career.

I have seen situations where I did an inspection, all was well but then it all went south over a survey dispute. Other times I have seen deals close, then lawsuits due to the property lines.
