Jon - I was amazed at the first condotel that I saw here in Mesquite.  How convenient to own one as a second home getaway or a vacation home.  I would love to own several in different areas of the country, one for each season - I guess I am not the first person to think of this.  :)

Vitginia - I would say it is a good idea,  but you gotta be careful getting into condo-hotel, as there is a lot of hype. You just need to remember (as with all vacation rentals properties), that the more you pay for it, the less chance there is to offset the expenses by renting, and when you sell, this is also a factor.

that's why very expensive Las Vegas condotels, as wel as Miami's have a lot of unhappy owners. On the note, where do you see many happy homeowners now anyway?

Jon - seems to be a lot of happy homeowners in Canada right now, especially Calgary.  :)
