What's Better Than Twins?

Real Estate Agent with Dove Realty Inc.

hydrangeaTriplets! If you need a substantial flower arrangement for a big table, do it in triplicate. This is also the perfect time of the year to pick the last of the hydrangeas. Don't worry if they're a little faded; it just adds to the autumnal look.  If you wrap the stems in a wet paper towel, then put it in a plastic bag, they will dry slowly and last forever.

The beauty of fresh with the longevity of silk...the perfect flower arrangement for Staging! Or just life in general.

And oh BTW, I got the vases at Goodwill for a song.

Beautiful photo!  I love triplets (that's what I am going to call them from now on!) When I buy accessories, like vases, I always buy three when I can and I often use three matching items in my stagings.

I love your table setting as it has a french country look to it (which is my all time favorite).

Cathy Lee: I'd need to move out first. I have to confess, this is my own dining room.

Marci: Hey, if it's good enough for The Today Show it's good enough for me.

Tracy: I have 3 huge bushes too and I'm still planting more.

Anne:That's what makes them so good for staging.

Jim: I'll have to remember that! It makes sense.

These are great and I love the hydrangeas.  I  also thank you for the tip about the paper towel in the plastic bag. In a vacant house I worry that dropped leaves would leave the table looking messy. I wish we could do the same with sunflowers but they wilt so easily.

THe old motto that three's a crowd does not apply  here, great job!

Susan, I sure wish my hydrangeas had survived this year. It has been too dry and we haven't had rain in forever. Love this look on the table.

This center piece or pieces I should say...are just gorgeous!  What a great way to end the season with these beautiful Hydrangeas.  By the way... out of curiosity, which song did you sing at Goodwill for those vases? ;)

Very pretty, Susan. Just stopped by to take a look and say hello. In the case of Goodwill, one families discard is indeed another's treasure. The Goodwill Stores also provide hope and employment to many of our disabled. You did two great things. You supported a magnificent charity, and you created a beautiful setting. The vases look great. Hope you have a great weekend.

Susan, I love your triplets!  I may try them for my next dinner party - where it's nice to have low heights.

Debbie: St. Vincent de paul is another favorite.

Lisa: I like your triplets too!

Kathy: Hydrangeas really lend themselves to the Frech Country look.

Karen: Now if we can just make the buyers melt!

Margaret: Thanks. I took it with my IPhone.

Definitely when staging, triplets are better than twins!! Thank you for sharing the beautiful centerpiece photo and drying tip for hydrangeas. The Goodwill is one of my favorite places to find vases - and if you're lucky, colored glass vases for color blocking.

Phyllis: I know, I love sunflowers too. They also photograph really well.

Lizette: I wish I could send you some. I have tons!

Michelle: I don't remember but I was doing my Happy Dance when I found them!

Davis: Thanks for stopping by and well said!

Patricia: You can cut them short and put them in shallower vases too.

Lisa: Okay, I've got to ask "What is color blocking?"

Yay!  I got the answer right!  Susan, that table is beautiful!

Yes, 3's work so well...it's the perfect balance.  I love the repetition as well.
