"Fireproof doesn't mean that a fire will never come, but that when it comes, you'll be able to withstand it."

http://www.fireproofmymarriage.comFIREPROOF was the No. 3 movie in America on Friday and it was ONLY shown in 839 theaters! This movie was well worth the wait and God's timing of it's release couldn't have been more perfect! So, my husband and I went to see it on Saturday night and the theater on was packed! The love, hope and energy that filled the room was infectious, as we laughed, cried and cheered throughout the entire film!

The Love DareWithout giving it all away, because it's really a MUST SEE, this movie goes deep into the meaning of God's complete and unconditional love and speaks to anyone in a relationship. I can say that this was definitely one of the best made movies of all time and would recommend it to anyone! John and I were even inspired to take the "Love Dare"... what a blessing this movie is!

Stephanie,

Thanks for posting this! Was already aware of this FABULOUS movie! What a message!

Have you seen their other two movies, "Flywheel" and "Facing the Giants"? Both also excellent messages. These are not produced by major studios. All the actors, producers, film crew, etc. are all members of one church. They are getting better and better, but it's an amazing story.

Blessings,

Hi Dave! I have not seen Flywheel yet. I'll have to check it out. Facing the Giants has been an inspiration to me ever since getting my real estate license... in fact, my husband and I own the movie and have seen it more times than I can count!

Stephanie- great post.  I really want to see this movie.  It is not in my local theater and I don't know if it will make it here.  I wouldn't normally mind driving the hour to Macon or Athens GA to see it, but the timing isn't great.  My husband just had surgery and so did both my pups.  I hope I get to see it in the theater, but will definitely get the video when it comes out if I don't.

I haven't seen Flywheel either Dave and will be heading out to see what I can find out about it too.  I also have facing the giants and my Church shows it to our local football teams annually every year when school/football season starts and hold a prayer meeting and invite both the private and public schools football teams, coaches and parents.  It's grown to a huge annual event.  They make fabulous movies.  It's great to get an occasional Christian film.  Why can't "Hollywood" get the message they are so popular and make better films?

Stephanie and Tammy...

Flywheel has a lot of messages and practices that we can apply to real estate...in fact all Realtors should see it. The story line is about a less than scrupulous used car salesman who finds the Lord. And since, us evil, unethical Realtors are ranked right down there with used car sales people, we could all benefit from this movie and its message. It will bring tears to your eyes and have you praising the Lord right in the middle of it. And then it's fun to see the parts of the DVD that show how they made it...that was just as entertaining.

It's available at Amazon and I'm sure in any Christian Book Store.

Again, blessings,

Dave

Tammy, I hope your husband and pups both recover quickly from their surgery. That is a great idea your church has in showing the FTG movie to the school football teams! I'll have to tell my daughter... she is part of the FCA (Fellowship of Christain Athletes) at her high school and that would be a great movie for them to watch at one of their meetings! Very good idea!!! Thank you!

Dave, when I went to my Realtor orientation they said we had moved up the list, ranking just above an Attorney! I'm not sure what's worse, or if we may have dropped in ranking due to everyone playing the blame game with our nation's state of the housing market! Apparently, the #1 most ethical profession is still nursing... unfortunately, there is still such a huge nursing shortage in our country! Thanks again for telling us about Flywheel movie. Now I have a new curiosity to satisfy!

Hmm,  I see one movie about every 2 years in the theaters - seems like I should make it this one.  I know my husband will want to see it.

Anna & Elena ~ I do hope you both get the chance to see the movie. I heard that this coming Friday, Fireproof will open in more than 90 new theaters. Stephanie, Regina & Dan ~ You will NOT be dissappointed! Everyone I know who has seen this movie has loved it. This movie has already been such a blessing for me and my husband! Also, in case anyone is interested, a friend of mine just emailed me that Target had the Facing the Giants movie on sale for $10!
