That is my opinion of house speaker Nancy Pelosi. She comes from the most liberal area of the country, San Fransisco. Or as I have heard one person call it San Fransicko. These ultra liberals hate this country and blame it for the worlds woes. How many people do you know leaving this country and moving to other countries? She couldn't even get her own party to follow her lead. Her party had enough seats to pass it without Republicans casting one vote for it. She is the worst ever and needs to be voted out. Only I am afraid who will replace her.

Hi John, These are very tough times for us all. Calling people you don't agree with names and labeling them adds little to the discussion. You might want to research how/who got us into this mess. Moving to another country is not a solution although it might clarify what a great country this really is !
Looks like you have more of an issue with the party, rather than the individual. So if you're afraid that someone worse may replace her, then count your blessing? seems like an "It could be worse" kind of thing.

Wow, John.
Whether you agree with her politics or not... name-calling is never a viable debate strategy. You have also now successfully alienated everyone and anyone reading your blog who lives in, has lived in or knows anybody who lives/lived in San Francisco and environs.
Not to mention liberals and ultra liberals (do you REALLY think they "hate their country... or do you think they simply have a view that differs with yours?), and anyone else who thinks you were foolish to insult the entire northwest region of California
Good Job. (sarcasm intended).

John, It's worse than you think. Speaker Pelosi made a highly partisan speech blaming the Republicans and President Bush for the financial crisis PRIOR to taking the vote. More than a dozen Republicans changed their vote because of her actions. The failure to pass the measure lies squarely on her shoulders. Now, lets see the main stream media report this correctly. If you enough research there's enough blame to go around. This issue started with the Clinton administration giving a free rein to Fannie/Freddie to basically insure junk loans.

John, it is certainly a mess. Both parties must stop their insistent political wrangling and buckle down to find workable solutions.
This is more about a media inspired lack of confidence than anything else. We keep hearing the government is bailing companies by buying up "Toxic" mortgages. The "toxic" mortgages still only 12% of the total which is high by normal standards but, let me do some advanced math... yeah, 88% of the loans are still good. A rational market would value them accordingly
