I know how mad we are right now with congress, the president and Wall Street. You see Greed and the love of money and the ability to get more no matter how you hurt or step on is wrong. There are some that don't believe in God or the fact that he will not put up with wrong and inappropriate actions. Wall Street and big money investors made the economy the way it is, and there is no quick fix. Realtors as well normal Americanans are hurting. Some are running scared about there finances, and running on the banks. There are gas line in SC around buildings, and people who have lost there live savings. This is terrible. But we must be very careful how we respond to this as Realtors. People look up to us and expect knowledge and help with real estate, and we must be careful about how we say thing and the words we use to express our anger.God is trying to teach his people a lesson, and I feel this is like Biblical times, when Jesus destroyed the money changers at the temple and brought down the house because of evil intent and the way they were worshiping money as their God. We must all join togetherand Pray for our nation, and help each other. There are more things at state hear besides money! In this hard time we must join together to help each. Take time today to really reflect on your life and make changes that God would be pleased with, you never know what is going to happen next, but with God in your life and working for you everything will be ok in the end.
Kathy: This post is an excellent reminder of the true importance of our place in the industry and in life. We are in a ministry where our work can be very hard, but let's ask God to give us the words to be encouraging and uplifting to those around us and to glorify Himself through our attitudes, words and actions! Thanks for the great post!
Kathy,
You've heard the old saying "when the going gets tough.......". I like to believe when the going gets tough, the tough keep praying. We all know that attitude is everything. I tell everyone that we never have to go through anything alone. We just have to be receptive to the help God offers us everyday. This is the journey, not the destination. He's on our side.
Take care.
Hi Kathy, A lot of people have no idea that what happened yesterday was planned. I wrote a blog with links to websites explaining how the wealthiest billionaires in the world bet $1 Trillion on this happening, which of course...makes it happen when that much money is on the table making it happen. I posted the blog 8/1/08.
They bet $1 Trillion, the market dropped $1 Trillion. Think about it.
I totally agree with Cindy's message and its a great one. Best of luck to everyone in these difficult times.
Hi Kathy, Just this week I heard a message from II Corinthians, Chapter 1 how God will be with us through our problems and wants us to help others. God bless,
It is very hard to not express my anger with politicians turning the economy and the good of the average American into a chance for them to grandstand. The elected officials need to realize that the average American is hurting and the days of catering to lobbyists and big business is going to have to end. They have hurt America for too long and it is actually the duty of every REALTOR to become active in RPAC. We have a moral and ethical duty to make sure legislation is passed to protect and help the public, whether it is from predatory lending to reforms regading tax laws, zoning. If it is for the good of the public regarding real estate, it can only help us! Get involved with your RPAC!
Amen, amen, amen. How true these statements are. At times like these we must all remember there is something bigger than us and we must put faith and trust in God's hands.
Kathy,
The problems which we think are so big are nothing to God. We must kkep our eyes on the goal and walk in the light and in the end all will work out'
